We are starting to pick up steam and are getting some great feedback. Recently Wine Thieves a wine shop in Lafayette and Clayton picked up our 2006 Cabernet. On Saturday the 6th of March Jonathan Plise and Olin Schultz will be pouring the Cab at both the Lafayette and the Clayton store between 1 to 5. Come in and taste and pick up a bottle or two!
Cheers,
Olin Schjultz
We recently went to the Unified Wine show in Sacramento. We always love going to a nice dinner on the Wednesday night of the show and this year we ended up at Enotria, a wine bar and restaurant. Wow. Great food and great staff. We loved it. And, the cool part is... they really liked our wine.
During our dinner we shared our wine with the Sommelier. We asked what he thought the wine cost and based on the flavor and presentation he thought it was a $65 of wine.
EJ Phair Ale House to pour our Cabernet by the glass
Draeger's Market in Danville (Blackhawk) to begin selling Olin Wine by the bottle
We're busy prepping for the Grand Opening. Trying to decide how many pounds of Carne Asada meat to order! Planning for a party open to the public is pretty difficult!
A beautiful thing! These are what Old Vine Zin grape vines look like in winter. Knarled and older than you, these vines and many like them, are some of the first vines planted in California. They still go to work every day soaking in the sun, drawing up water, and making world class grapes 100 years later. That's cool.
Grand Opening! - We would like to invite you to our Grand Opening Saturday June 13th at the winery in Concord. This will actually be a co-grand opening with our friends who are opening a brewery, Ale Industries, four doors down. I think it is probably a pretty rare event to have a winery and brewery open on the same day. Come join us for lots of fun and good libations. This event will be from 12 to 5 and will feature free tastings at both locations, music, bbq, fun for kids and sales events at both the winery, the brewery and at our business MoreFlavor! (home of Morebeer!
After a long journey that included a design contest for the over all look we had the site coded and installed on a Drupal back end. Thanks to Sam Steele at www.debosoft.com.au for helping us get it going.
